Enhancing Lives with Exceptional Cannabis
I began working for Noblecraft Cannabis as Social Media Manager before June of 2021, but I was aware of the brand and reputation before signing on. Craft cannabis with luxurious packaging, made for new and experienced weed smokers. My job was to maintain the current audience while finding ways to reach out to older and younger audiences. What I found was our audiences appreciated frequent updates from the farm (crops, new products, and people), cannabis education/information, and early 2000’s stoner movie references.
I enjoy working around interesting concepts and weird products because it gives you an open canvas to scribble all over, or a whole new world to learn and explore. Cannabis is different than most markets because, despite its limits, the creative possibilities seem endless. The stoner-sub culture has taken over the PNW, and they have a cultivated language of their own. Often, the look of the cannabis plant will be enough to garner enough attention, but if you give it some witty copy or a Pineapple Express quote, it works a different sort of magic than just the weed alone.
Cannabis Content Creator
I took on the role of Social Media Manager and co-content creator for Northwest Cannabis Co. (NWCC) in January of 2022, but I had been helping with the creative concepts for the dispensary’s theme while also writing website copy since September of 2021. Some of the shareholders of Noblecraft Cannabis were in the works of opening what was soon to be Oregon’s largest premium cannabis superstore. This was an amazing opportunity to create something that was physically bigger than any other work that I have done in marketing and advertising, and it felt unreal when it all came to life. Everyone involved took on their fair share of work, for myself, this included conception, creation, and posting of content on all social platforms, overseeing the Google Business account, writing and updating website copy, and updating product info on WeedMaps and Leaf Link.
The overall concept of NWCC is to find the products that will perfectly elevate your own adventure. We wanted to make the cannabis-buying experience easy and conversational, by knowing what you want, and trusting our ‘Bud-Scouts’ to find the best methods and strains to suit your active (or couch potato) lifestyle. In addition to promoting products, featured strains, and events, I decided that a cannabis blog would be beneficial for our curious customers and first-time weed buyers. This has allowed us to develop a brand voice that reflects the company’s values while also emulating the amazing bud-tenders that everyone knows and loves.
